About Me
Shaun Spence

Artist • Homesteader • Storyteller
Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where portraits bloom with florals, reflections turn into ramblings, and creativity gets dirt under its nails.
I’m Shaun Spence, an artist drawn to the beauty of nature and the complexity of being human. My paintings are full of emotion and color, weaving expressive portraits with natural forms, each piece a quiet invitation to feel something real.
But art doesn’t end at the canvas.
When I’m not painting, I’m planting. Or shearing sheep. Or explaining how sourdough works to a curious kid. I live on a small homestead with my family, where we grow food, homeschool, and build a life that’s as handmade as the things we create. Somewhere in between it all, I write, thoughtful, sometimes meandering reflections on parenting, self-reliance, creativity, and the rhythms of a life that actually fits.
The Art I Make
My work is rooted in reverence, for beauty, for skill, and for honesty. I believe great art doesn’t ask you to pretend or decode. It simply meets you where you are. My goal is to stop you in your tracks, even just for a moment. To breathe. To feel. To connect.
The Life I Live
This site is part gallery, part journal, part creative greenhouse. It’s where I share paintings, process, and perspective, all with the hope of helping you slow down, think clearly, and make something that matters. Whether you're here for inspiration, curiosity, or just to see what blooms next, I'm glad you made it.
Pull up a chair.
